A Navajo Indian Yei God Pictorial Rug woven with "M Z T P" at the top and "NEW MEXICO" at the bottom. This writing likely refers to the Medicine Springs Trading Post near Nakaibito, New Mexico which was active during the 1930s.  This rug was probably woven for the owners of that trading post. The shapes of the 2 stylized Thunderbirds at the bottom of the rug also suggest
this time period. Size 32"x63".
